How do I download Endnote?

You need to go to the University's software repository. You will be asked to login with your UKZN login to access the repository.

URL is https://softwarerep.ukzn.ac.za   (also go to the ICS website and click on the link at the bottom right of the site)

Choose Academic Software and then Endnote. There are Endnote versions for Macs and Windows. Choose the one you want. Endnote 20 is the latest version. At the next screen click on EN20Inst.msi. Follow the instructions to install. You will be asked for a product key. This information is provided in a link directly below EN20Inst.msi.

Once Endnote is installed, you will be asked to create a library and save it - choose where you want to save it (you cannot currently save to the cloud). The default name of the library is MyEndnoteLibrary.enl. At the same time a .data library file will be created - this is the background file.

The UKZN Endnote license allows you to install Endnote on your personal pc.
