What is a My Library Account?
The My Library Account (MLA) is an online facility on the library website that enables you to see what books you have borrowed from the library, when your library books are due back, renew books, create requests for books and articles from other campus libraries and request books from other South African libraries. You can also request books from within the catalogue as well as create requests within the account. You can also link to other library facilities.
While the My Library Account has your basic information you need to create a 9 character password. At the first screen of MLA click immediately on the button called 'set/reset password'. At the next screen fill in your student or staff NUMBER in the user name box. Follow the instructions from there. There are past training recordings, a power point presentation and a pdf guide on how to do this process.
